Detailed Itinerary of 5 Days Best of Tanzania Safari

Day 1: Pick up, Transfer to Lake Manyara national Park Game Drive and Guided Walking Safari

To mark the start of your Tanzania Safari, you will be picked up by your representative – your Driver – Guide, he will brief you about the safari then embark on a journey to Lake Manyara National Park. This journey will give you an introduction to Tanzania and its wilderness.

On arrival in Lake Manyara National Park you will go for a game drive, enjoy picnic lunch and continue exploring the park till sunset. Some of the animals to lookout for include herds of elephants, giraffes, zebras, gazelles, tree climbing lions among others.

After the game drive you will be driven to the lodge for inner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Drive to Serengeti National Park, Game Drive

Have an early breakfast at your lodge as you prepare for your journey to Serengeti National Park – the most popular and rewarding safari destination in Tanzania. The journey takes you through the beautiful Ngorongoro Highlands and you will have an opportunity to make a stop at the viewpoint for views of the Ngorongoro Crater.

Enjoy lunch at a picnic site on arrival in Serengeti and later engage in a game drive as you search for wildlife in the savannah plains such as the Big Five like elephants, lions, buffaloes, leopards, rare rhinos, and several bird species. later proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Full Day Game Drive in Serengeti National Park

Enjoy an early breakfast at your lodge, meet your driver-guide and go on a morning game viewing experience around the central of Serengeti National Park where you will search for wildlife species like leopards, lions, elephants, wildebeests, zebras, cheetahs, giraffes, impalas, gazelles, kudus, rhinos among others.

After enjoying your picnic lunch in the wilderness, you will engage in an afternoon game drive around Serengeti National Park as you look out for wildlife species and later return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay as above.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater Drive

After breakfast at your lodge, you will drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. With your packed lunch you will descend the 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for amazing wildlife viewing opportunities and to enjoy the beautiful scenery, including the Big 5 and other Ngorongoro animals.

Be on a lookout for a variety of wildlife species including wildebeests, zebras, buffaloes, warthogs, eland, hippo, and giant Africa elephants as well as predators such as lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and leopards. After the game drive, you will ascend the crater and proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

During the game drive, lookout for zebras, giraffes, lions, large herds of elephants which the park is famous for, and so much more.

Enjoy lunch in the wilderness, and another game viewing opportunity as you leave Tarangire, driving back to Arusha, You will be dropped off at the airport in time for your outbound flight or hotel in Arusha, bringing your safari to an end.
