Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by a representative from Serengeti Wildlife Safari. You will be transferred to your accommodation in Arusha, where you can relax and prepare for the adventure ahead. Depending on your arrival time, you will have time to rest after your international flight.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park

 In the morning, your private safari guide will collect you from your accommodation in Arusha. You will set out for Tarangire National Park on a good tarmac road across gently rolling Maasai plains with scattered acacia trees. Along the way, you will pass many Maasai in their colorful traditional dress, walking on the roadside, riding bicycles, herding cattle, and driving donkey carts.

Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds and is also host to a multitude of other creatures. From the open roof of your safari vehicle, you will experience the seasonal swamps, savannah, and life-giving Tarangire River. You will encounter a multitude of creatures – from zebra to wildebeest, buffalo, elephant, and giraffe, to name but a few. It is possible you will glimpse lions stalking prey or leopards watching, relaxing in the trees above.

After a full day of exploration, you will drive to your carefully selected accommodation for dinner and a restful night.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater

Rise and shine! It is an early departure to the lush highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Once you have reached the crater rim, you will drive down a steep track into the 600-metre-deep caldera to see a range of animals and birds.

The caldera (collapsed volcano) is home to over 25,000 mammals, ranging from the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard) to more than 500 species of birds. This is one of the best places in Africa to spot the endangered black rhino.

After an extensive game drive and a picnic lunch inside the crater, you will ascend the crater rim and return to Arusha, where you will arrive in the early evening. End of services.
