Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds, which can number up to 3,000 individuals during the dry season, and its ancient baobab trees that dot the landscape. Check into your lodge and enjoy lunch, then head out for an afternoon game drive. Look for elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and over 500 bird species. The Tarangire River attracts wildlife in high concentrations, making game viewing exceptional. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
