Detailed Itinerary of 5 Days Masai Mara and Serengeti Safari 

Day 1: Pick up in Nairobi and drive to Masai Mara, Game Drive

You shall be picked up by your guide from your hotel in Nairobi or from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport upon arrival, brief you about your safari and proceed to Masai Mara National Reserve with a stop in Narok Town to interact with the locals and buy some beautiful items made by the Maasai people.

Proceed to the reserve arriving in time for lunch at your lodge. In the afternoon you will go for a game drive search for the various wildlife species, expect to see impalas, wildebeests, lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, gazelles among others. At sunset, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Full Day Masai Mara, Maasai Cultural Experience

Enjoy an early breakfast at the lodge, head out for a full day game viewing on morning and afternoon game drive. Led by an experienced guide you will spot several animals species including wildebeests, zebras, antelopes, gazelles, giraffes, hippos, waterbucks, cheetahs, hippos among others.

After lunch at the lodge, you will return to the reserve for an afternoon game drive and a visit to the local community for a cultural experience. Later return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer to Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast at the lodge, check out and with en-route game drive embark on a journey to Serengeti National Park with border crossing at Isebania Border. After clearing with the immigration, you will change into a Tanzania safari vehicle and guide, and proceed to Serengeti. Have a short en-route game drive as you head t your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Full day Serengeti Game Drive

Start your day early with breakfast and head out for a full day of exploring Serengeti National Park on a morning and afternoon game drive in the Central Region. As you will explore the park you will see several wildlife species and enjoy picnic lunch along the banks of Mara River or one of the picnic sites in the park.

Continue with exploring the park till evening. Expect to see several animals including hippos, kudus, giraffes, buffaloes, elephants, cheetahs, hyenas, waterbucks and a chance to witness the Great Wildebeest Migration. Your guide will drive you back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Flight from Serengeti to Nairobi

Today marks the last day of your Safari in Tanzania, after breakfast you will be driven to Seronera Airstrip for your flight to Nairobi’s Wilson Airstrip, connect to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for a flight back home or to your next destination.
